Solar Series

Astronomy. An ordinary star- not very big, nor very small - our own Sun is imagined, enveloping, boiling around the figure. I made fiery plasma coils, loops and flares using a silvery plate, and a photograph of the suns granular sunspots was taped to the center of this plate. It was moved around to create multiple glares and suns streaking around. I asked Vicki to gaze upwards, imagining the sun she no longer sees. At top, Hashim gazes down at a small molten sun.
